Role Summary... 

The Digital Operations Specialist is responsible for the technical aspects of Monstercat’s Releases from metadata input to distribution and beyond. Reporting to the Head of Digital, you act as the steward of our audio and video assets, ensuring they adhere to strict QA/QC principles to reach our fans in the highest quality possible.

Responsibilities and Duties…

Working hands-on in our proprietary tech, Label Manager

• Inputting and verifying the accuracy of metadata
• Onboarding external users
• Miscellaneous projects, as needed

Distributing our Releases to our partners

• Onboarding and corresponding with DSPs
• Distributing Releases via FUGA and Label Manager (DDEX)
• Daily uploads on YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc.

Managing our assets and metadata on external platforms

• YouTube Content Management System (CMS) & Content ID fingerprinting - references, ownership conflicts, claims
• Facebook/Instagram Rights Manager For Music (RM4M)
• Spotify CMS, iTunes connect, Kobalt Portal, etc.

Skills and Experience….

• Post-secondary education preferred
• Previous experience working on the backend of any/all of the platforms mentioned above
• Proficient with Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
• A critical mind with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and organization; keen to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems
• Ability to thrive in a structured, deadline-driven environment yet still demonstrate flexibility
• Bonus: background knowledge on the electronic music industry, Monstercat, and our content
• Bonus: 2-4 Active Skillshop Certification(s) for YouTube
